Nina is torn between Herb and Tom, two guys she has known most of her life. Tom is a bookie and Herb is a boxer. Nina doesn’t want to choose between them but feels as though she must.

The credits for this story are incomplete and uncertain. The two names that I have put above are believed to have done the pencils and inks.
As I read this story I couldn’t help but wonder how it could but wouldn’t end. What if Nina didn’t have to choose? Of course she had to choose. One of the guys makes it easy for her to choose between them. Still, I wouldn’t have minded seeing the alternate ending that I created in my mind.
I like this story a lot. The visual storytelling is excellent. Nina really seems to care about both Herb and Tom until one of them screws up, big time and makes her decision easier. Even then she feels sorry for the one she leaves behind.
