Tamara hires Grimjack to help them rescue Torin Mac Quillon and his men from Ariosto who is holding them hostage and planning to kill them. Grimjack agrees to do the job but demands the Jolly Roger, Tamara’s ship, in exchange for his services.

The difficulty level of the job is elevated thanks to Sphinx, a wizard that Ariosto employs. Complicating things further is a band of Alpha Centaurians who have been sent by a being called Cal to capture Starslayer.

Grimjack completes the job as promised and takes possession of the Jolly Roger only to turn around and sell it to Mac Quillon.

Christopher Chance, the Human Target, turns down a job impersonating a man who has survived an attempt on his life. The man got extensive facial reconstructive surgery and at the time he talks to the Human Target he is wearing a full face mask. 

The Human Target accepts a job impersonating an African American minister. An attempt on the the Human Target’s life is made while he is delivering a sermon, disguised as the minister. The Human Target completes the assignment successfully.

Futurist, the being that was once the scientist known as Professor Randolph James, heads for the Baxter Building. Mister Fantastic intended to arrive there with him but Futurist sensed that Reed Richard’s, his old friend, intended to revert him back to his human form. Futurist did not approve of this course of action.

Blastaar emerges from the shadows and convinces Futurist that the Fantastic Four intend to do both of them harm. Together they make their way to the Baxter Building. They take down the team but don’t consider that young Franklin Richard’s might also be a worthy opponent.

Grimjack helps some cute talking animals, mostly dogs, to defend their planet from invasion by a gang of killer bunny rabbits. He was just supposed to train the cute dogs but they prove to be fairly inept. Grimjack gets some help defending the planet from Blackjac, another mercenary. Grimjack, Blackjac, and the cute animals defend the planet from the big, bad, killer rabbits.

Power Girl recalls how the Crisis (aka Crisis on Infinite Earths) has changed so many things. She was the cousin of Superman of Earth-2 but with him having been erased from most people’s memories she questions how she fits in to the post Crisis world.

The only remnant of her past prior to the Crisis in the bio ship in which she arrived on Earth. She is sitting in the bio-ship sulking when Arion, Lord of Atlantis reaches out to her and explains. He is her grandfather.

Blastaar!

The Fantastic Four visit Professor Randolph James, an old friend of Reed, in his lab. Reed is helping Professor James with an experiment when something goes wrong, debris starts flying everywhere. Much of Professor James' lab gets destroyed.

The Fantastic Four returns to the Baxter Building where they discover that Blastaar has escaped from the Negative Zone. He attacks them when they show up. He disappears into the sewer after the Human Torch blasts him out of the building.
