Blastaar!

The Fantastic Four visit Professor Randolph James, an old friend of Reed, in his lab. Reed is helping Professor James with an experiment when something goes wrong, debris starts flying everywhere. Much of Professor James' lab gets destroyed.
The Fantastic Four returns to the Baxter Building where they discover that Blastaar has escaped from the Negative Zone. He attacks them when they show up. He disappears into the sewer after the Human Torch blasts him out of the building.
They are getting ready to go look for him when Professor James calls. He has been beaten up by a trio of roughnecks who were out to rob him. Reed sends his teammates out to look for Blastaar while he goes to help his friend.
Reed arrives at Randolph James’ home laboratory only to discover that the other scientist has used one of his devices on himself. The device changed into into a tall, b bald-headed man with golden robes and mental superpowers. When he sees the three punks who beat him up returning he turns them into mice.
Thoughts
I do not own an original copy of this comic book. I read it and will be reading five of the next six issues of Fantastic Four from Fantastic Four Visionaries: John Byrne Vol. 0.
I’ve read this story once before but I don’t remember exactly where this is all going. Randolph James is on the cover for the next issue but Blastaar is not. I believe that Blastaar will be back and that Professor James, or whatever he is calling himself now, will play a role in subduing the brute.
