Fallen Angel

by Mike W. Barr, Dick Giordano, Duncan Andrews, Adrienne Roy

Halo tells Looker about her past and the past of Violet Harper, the woman whose body she inhabits.

Thoughts

The origins of Halo were first revealed in the story published in Batman and the Outsiders 22 (Jun 1985) and 23 (Jul 1985). I do not own and have not read those issues or reprints of that story. I don't know if this story adds anything to that origin story.

I’m not sure what to think of the reveal that Halo is actually an alien inhabiting a human body. This is the first of these Secret Origin stories that I was not familiar with prior to reading it. I don’t think I have read any stories involving Halo after this one.

Halo is one of two members of the Outsiders whose origin story was told in the pages of Secret Origins. The other is Black Lightning whose origin story was told in Secret Origins 26 (May 1988).
