Jack vs. Aku but Jack is without a weapon, the weapon, his magic sword. He doesn't flee. He stands and fights but Aku is too much for him.
Aku has won, or so it seems. He is about to kill Jack when a spirit arm emerges from Jack's chest wielding a magic sword. The tide turns and Aku is forced to run away or face death at Jack's hands.
Once again the plot is fairly straight forward. Nothing complex. The beauty in the story is in the visual storytelling. There are some pretty brilliant colors in this one. I love some of the shape shifting that Aku manifests in this chapter. There are some beautiful pages like the one where Aku attempts to deliver the killing blow, the horrific look on the demon's face as the Spirit arm emerges from Jack's chest, the swirling effect as the light and dark do battle, all of it.
After I finished reading the chapter I could hear the end the music that plays at the end of each episode.
This arc really did feel an episode of the show. It started a little slow but finished with one hell of a punch.
