Anodyne - Part 3

Selina continues her search for the killer. She gets some help from Dr. Thompkins and Holly. Dr. Thompkins is having a horrific dream when Catwoman knocks on her window and wakes her up. Selina hopes that Leslie can put her in touch with Oracle. She hopes that Oracle can help with the search.
Holly helps by luring a car salesman into a room where Catwoman interrogates him. She learns from him what the killer looks like. Selina unknowingly meets the killer at Dave’s All Nighter. She inadvertently tips the killer off to the fact that she’s looking for him. She gets just enough information from him to narrow the search for his apartment.
I like this story more than I did but the killer seems kind of generic and boring. He is a little too cookie cutter and lacking in subtlety. So far his only motivation for killing seems to be some irresistible urge he gets. Not good enough in my book.
The artwork continues to be great bordering on spectacular. There are more pages filled with lots of tiny panels. It isn't just how Darwyn Cooke pencils and Mike Allred inks but also the way the shadows fall. The coloring by Matt Hollingsworth is also spot on beautiful.
