Batman 328

Double Jeopardy

Carl Ternion taunts Batman by sending him a reel of film in which he admits to having killed two men and gotten away with it. Batman immediately leaps into action to try and figure out what the truth of the matter is and why Carl Ternion would make such an outrageous claim. He suspects that Ternion is setting a trap for him and he finds one but at the end of the story the mystery still has yet to be solved. Ternion is still a free man and Batman still has not figured out what Carl Ternion’s secret is.
I love the cover to this book. I’m not sure how many covers Joe Kubert drew for Batman or Detective Comics but this one is really nice. The only other one I can find is the previous issue of Batman which is nice but pales in comparison to this one.
Maybe I should have known better but the text on the cover led me to believe that I would find a complete story in this issue. I did not. What I found was part one of a two-part story. I do not own part two, which can be found in the next issue.
I looked online and found some of the answers to the mystery. The cover to the next issue of Batman gives away part of Ternion’s secret. If I can find Batman 329 for a reasonable price then I might buy it but otherwise I’m gonna forget about this story and move on once I have read the backup story in this issue.
