Point of View
by Paul Grist
Donahue, the young veteran, and Perez, his new partner, drive around New Eden. Donahue introduces Perez to some of the people with whom he’s familiar. They chase a few suspects, eat some donuts (from Hungry Howard), and talk about Precinct House, a TV police drama.
Thoughts
It’s been six months since I last read Kane.
Every page in this issue consists of two panels. Both panels on each page are the view from the back seat of the New Eden Police car driven by Donahue and Perez, looking over their shoulders.
The pacing and story development in this issue are great. The ending is killer. Who is shooting at Donahue and Perez? Will they survive?
There was one moment where I hesitated before turning the page, for fear of what would be there. My fear in that instance didn’t pan out.
It’s easy to some of the details in this issue. The story moves very quickly. The single setting probably has something to do with that.
Taking the Blame
The first fan letter in this issue is from Alex Toth. He has nothing but but good things to say about the issues he has read. There are three more fan letters but none of them are by names I recognize.
