For the first time the story is in color and doesn't revolve around Spit. Instead a good chunk of this installment is about whaling in the mid-19th century. Nicely drawn.

For the most part this story is about an attack on a monastery. There isn't much revealed about the main characters or how they came to be living in the monastery. In the end it becomes clear that one of the main characters will become Sargon the Sorcerer. That was probably the most interesting part to me.
USS Stevens: Back and Forth (1941-1945)

Weird take on Kamandi or just different from what I'm used to. Kamandi is trying to figure out how to cure humanity when he encounters Etrigan, the Demon. I guess that when I think of Kamandi I think of Jack Kirby's run on the book and the one human in a world of talking, humanoid animals. Introducing another of Kirby's creations into the story seemed bizarre to me.
