Robotman: Crime’s Kiddie-Cart!

Reginald Dillworthy’s parents are rich. He gets most everything he wants. He isn’t a very nice person. He gets fixated on a go cart that belongs to a boy named Pete. Reginald wants it and complains to his parents about it until they put an ad in the newspaper offering a $1,000 reward for the Pete-mobile.
Nickel-slug Nick, a gangster, sees the ad and smells an opportunity. He finds Pete and takes the Pete-mobile from him. He then offers it to Reginald’s father for the $1,000 reward.
Robotman has been in the background watching everything that’s happened up to this point. He steps in and deals with the Nick and his gang. He returns the Petemobile to Pete who sells it to Mr. Dillworthy for $1,000.
Reginald gets the car that he wanted. He proceeds to start smashing it to pieces. His parents are stunned and don’t know what to do with him. Robotman has a suggestion that he whispers in Mr. Dillwothy’s ear. Robotman is leaving the Dillworthy home in the final panel as Mr. Dillworthy is giving his son a spanking.
Thoughts
Robotman's suggestion to Mr. Dillworthy would not fly today.
This isn’t a great story but it is well structured, unlike most of the ones that precede it. It has a beginning a middle and an end and seems to unfold naturally. Robotman is, once again, more of a supporting character than the star of the story.
