The Redeemer by Joe Kubert

Jim Torkan (aka the Redeemer) plays along with the evil fat guy's schemes until he gets pushed a little too far. He doesn't seem to have a problem injecting an innocent alien with an experimental mind control drug but draws the line at doing the same to a young human girl. That's when he loses it and gets violent.
Love the art but the dialogue is a throwback to an earlier era with many characters stating the obvious. Whatever happened to show, don't tell?

Once again the raw pencils with wash look is gorgeous but there isn't much to the story. This feels like story fragments about a boy on a whaling vessel in the 19th century which given enough time and effort could have become something more.
