Furious and Magical
by Jordie Bellaire, Drew Moss
The Russians first met Drakulonians on a mission to Mars. They took advantage of the vampire race and planned to use blood transfusions to create a cadre of super soldiers. Vampirella and Red Sonja end that dream.
Vampirella and Red Sonja wreck havoc in the super secret research facility. They destroy the research, kill everyone they encounter, and rescue Cyprian (the imprisoned vampire). Cyprian is in bad shape and dies in Vampirella's arms.
The story ends with Vampirella and Red Sonja disappearing as the stone Red Sonja carries transports them somewhere unknown.
Thoughts
I didn't love this issue. It seemed long on exposition and short on character moments. They are there but you have to look for them. I'm hoping that I will enjoy the next arc more than this one.
